Ophthalmic spray based on liposomes and Acqua Madre delle Terme di Cervia.

LIPOFRESH ophthalmic spray thanks to its components is able to regulate, moisturize and refresh the eye mucosa and give functional support to the eye surface. Thus, the lipid layer used to contain and control the evaporation of the tear film is re-established. Liposomes are optimal to restore and stabilize the lipid component present on the eyelid rim, while the essential electrolytes present in the Acqua Madre delle Terme di Cervia rebalance all the conditions of eye discomfort and tear instability.

Liposomes

Liposomes are vesicles mainly composed of phospholipids, primary components for the formation of the lipid layer of the tear film. Thanks to their lipid nature, liposomes perform a mechanical and functional action to the ocular surface, re-esablishing the lipid layer of the tear film.

Acqua Madre delle Terme di Cervia

Acqua Madre delle Terme di Cervia is a water of marine origin obtained by slow concentration and purification within the tanks of the Cervia saline. It is purified by sterilizing filtration and used for medical applications. The Acqua Madre has a very high amount of electrolytes, including magnesium, sodium, calcium, bromine chlorides, sulfates and bicarbonates. The muco-aqueous layer of the tear film contains electrolytes (such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine, phosphate, and bicarbonate). The proper supply of electrolytes rebalances the qualitative-quantitative changes in the tear film resulting from all cases of ocular discomfort, reducing the risk of tear film instability.
